Protect Your Business, Staff, and Clients with a Commercial Security System

We’re fortunate to live and work in the great state of Oklahoma. In addition to some of the best barbeque in the nation and gorgeous lakes, we are also blessed with some of the nicest people. Did you know that a study by Travel + Leisure ranked Oklahoma City, OK, as the least rude and snobby city in the U.S.? It doesn't get much better!

At Integrated AV, we're fortunate to serve our friends and neighbors, providing them with the latest technology that enhances their lives and protects their businesses and homes.

Unfortunately, we have some bad apples in the mix, and crime has been on the rise. Police are now recommending commercial security systems such as security cameras. Is your business equipped to protect your people and property? Keep reading to learn more!

Rising Crime Rates

In July 2022, Oklahoma City police warned business owners about a growing robbery crime trend and the need to ensure the safety of customers and employees. Sgt. Dillon Quirk of the OCPD told KOCO 5, “I’ll always recommend you take as many steps as you deem necessary to keep yourself and business safe.” The police also recommended having good quality 4K cameras with LED lights to help identify suspects.

In June, nearly 30 vehicles were broken into at a collision repair center. On July 30, a thief robbed a locally owned restaurant. He stole the safe and raided the registers. The restaurant is closed down until further notice.

So, what can you do to help protect the businesses you’ve worked so hard to establish? Let’s explore the options.

Video Surveillance

Both businesses we mentioned had security cameras, and both caught the suspects on tape. 4K HDR cameras with night vision are the best for producing clear pictures that can lead to identification. Unfortunately, this doesn’t offer much in the way of a proactive measure and stopping the criminal in the act. That’s where smart technology comes in.

Today’s advanced video surveillance systems send notifications to your smartphone when something out of the ordinary occurs. This may be unusual movement that’s detected when the business is closed, glass breaking, or someone crossing a digital tripwire in a secure area. As soon as you receive the alert, you can pull up the live video feed from your smartphone or laptop. Many of these cameras also offer two-way communication. You can tell the person they've been spotted and call law enforcement if the situation warrants immediate action.

Integrated Response

These cameras also integrate with other smart devices, such as access control systems, lights, and audio. An access control system requires key cards, biometric devices, or mobile devices to gain access. We can program the system to go into immediate lockdown if a suspicious person is caught on video during business hours, protecting staff and property. When a security event occurs, we can also program your business’s lights to flash and the audio to sound, surprising the thief before any damage or loss occurs.

At Integrate AV, we utilize the latest technology to enhance our clients’ everyday lives and protect the things that matter most. To learn more about commercial security systems or to schedule a complimentary consultation, contact Integrated AV today.
